Berjaya Corporation Bhd has announced the return of Berjaya Times Square Tower Run following last year’s successful debut.
The race at Berjaya Times Square Kuala Lumpur on Aug 4 promises to be exhilarating for fitness enthusiasts and novices alike with 47 storeys and 1,061 steps to conquer.
The event, in partnership with runners support group Running Kaki Malaysia, will also support Berjaya Cares Foundation’s charitable activities.
This year’s event retains the Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Men’s Veteran and Women’s Veteran categories.
An additional category will be open to Berjaya employees.
From the 500 runners from 15 countries who partipated last year, world champ Soh Wai Ching won the race in five minutes and six seconds.
“The tower run encapsulates our commitment to promoting a healthier lifestyle and community engagement,” said Berjaya Corporate Communications and Sustainability deputy general manager Giam Say Khoon.
“The overwhelming response from the inaugural tower run has inspired us to elevate this year’s events,” he said.
“We look forward to seeing participants of various ages and abilities challenge themselves.”
Supporting partners such as Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Company Sdn Bhd will provide goodies in race kits, while participants can also win lucky draw prizes such as hotel stay vouchers.
